Regional Exploration
With over 245 square kilometres of exploration licences, Era Resources’ project area is highly prospective for further metal discoveries.
Surface work around the known resource has demonstrated further upside potential in the immediate vicinity of the 2016 resource, with evidence of copper mineralization to the southeast, northwest and some potential to the south. Beyond the strong surface indicators proximal to the resource, there is excellent upside in the exploration area.
Fieldwork at the Pomiea prospect in 2015 and 2016 showed high-grade copper mineralization 6 kilometres to the southeast of the existing resource. This work further demonstrates the prospectivity of a mineral trend that is nearly 17 kilometres in length and centred around the known resource. Regional geological, geochemical and geophysical work indicates that there are a number of other favourable and insufficiently tested exploration targets within the broader mineralized trend, which hold potential for base metal discovery.
